School Ties (1992)

Director: Robert Mandel
Writers: Dick Wolf (story), Dick Wolf & Darryl Ponicsan (screenplay)
Stars: Brendan Fraser, Matt Damon, Chris O’Donnell, Cole Hauser, Ben Affleck

A high school star quarterback gets admitted into a prestigious preparatory school where he has to hide being Jewish. It’s an interesting juxtaposition seeing both a proper, mannered society, and one wrought with racism, at the same time. If you are sensitive to racial slurs, get over it. This is a movie you need to see, and shows that racism is about more than skin color.
