P.S. I Love You (2007)

Director: Richard LaGravenese
Writers: Richard LaGravenese & Steven Rogers (screenplay), Cecelia Ahern (novel)
Stars: Hilary Swank, Gerard Butler, Harry Connick Jr., Lisa Kudrow, Gina Gershon, Jeffrey Dean Morgan

A recent widow discovered her late husband lest her 10 messages to help her ease her pain and start a new life. The cast give a solid performance, and the movie over all avoids a lot of cliches that plague movies of this kind. But, it still has a few. Was very relieved that Swank’s character did not end up with the wimpy, rather unmanly guy that had been pursuing her for the whole movie, as would often happen. All in all, a good movie to watch with a date.
