Big Fish (2003)

Director: Tim Burton
Writers: Daniel Wallace (novel), John August (screenplay)
Stars: Ewan McGregor, Albert Finney, Billy Crudup

A grand story told in Tim Burton fashion of the life of Edward Bloom, told mostly to his son. It is simultaneously both a film of a son reconnecting with his father, and the love story of the father an his wife… and a big fish.

This is one of my personal favorites (my wife however is not a fan), and was both surprised and entertained that it made this list. Whether it will hold up to making the final cut remains to be seen, but if not it will surely be a contender.
